Wild West Smash

Freelance work for Brandon Sheffield, founder of Necrosoft Games, editor-in-chief of Game Developer Magazine, and senior editor at Gamasutra. More graphics after the jump.

The prototype was designed as a Smash TV style survival game where enemies pour out of each door while you avoid the obstacles, shoot the enemies, and collect giant stacks of South Korean Won!

For those not familiar with Smash TV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFRZcWAdawE

I created the environment tiles, a few collectibles, and some animations for the project.

Here are some of the animations and collectibles I made:
Rolling pin hazard
Pickups: Heavy machine gun, rail gun, shotgun, armor, rocket launcher
Blood animation

Explosion animation

My graphics ultimately weren't used for the project, but they were definitely fun to do!
(Note: Animations are running a little slow. Probably an effect of my .gif animation program.)

Feels good to finally update this blog!
